Description \ 描述 (according to IHSP, 2003) ：
Stem < 4 cm long, sparsely branching. Rosette 4 – 6 cm in diameter ( ? ? does not correspond to the length of the leaves [MB]). Leaves rhomboid-lanceolate, aristate-mucronate, 4 – 7 x 1,5 – 2 cm, grey-green. Inflorescence a cincinnus to 50 cm long or more, bracts easily detached, pedicels 3 – 7 mm. Flowers : Sepals 5 – 7 mm, ascending to spreading ; corolla broadly urceolate, ± 10 mm long, green in bud, later red ; petals with basal hollow within, often bearing an appendage on either side as in Pachyphytum.
茎< 4厘米长，少有分枝。莲座直径 4 - 6厘米（此处[MB]原注：有误，叶即长于此直径）叶菱形披针形，具芒尖，长4 - 7厘米× 宽1.5 - 2厘米，灰绿色。花序倒蝎尾，长50厘米或以上，苞片容易脱落，花梗长3 - 7毫米。花：萼片长5 - 7毫米，上举或外展；花冠宽壶状，长±10毫米，花先绿，后而略转红；花内具较大空间，并像厚叶草属一样，在花的一侧生有附属物。

One of the few Echeverias growing in arid conditions on flat ground. It is difficult to maintain in cultivation.
